About The International Au Pair Exchange

The International Au Pair Exchange (TIAPE) is a specialized au pair agency that matches skilled au pairs with university/vocational degrees or equivalent experience in childcare-related fields with American host families looking for reliable, experienced childcare. All TIAPE au pairs are sourced directly from our own office in Germany, which means we have personally met and evaluated the au pairs who participate in our program. TIAPE is a designated sponsor of the U.S. Department of State.

TIAPE is owned and operated by Susan Asay, a working mother who has hosted multiple au pairs and understands the importance of high quality childcare. Susan also owns PROaupair, though the two organizations are separately designated by the U.S. Department of State.

Our mission is to create life-enriching opportunities by combining cultural exchange with flexible and affordable high quality childcare. We achieve this mission through dedicated support and personal attention for our program participants, provided in cooperation with our US based professional staff, Area Directors located in the communities we serve, and our network of organizations who refer au pairs to TIAPE. We are proud to support international and cultural understanding by connecting the world, one family at a time.

TIAPE is dedicated to supporting an au pair program that promotes the best of what a unique cultural exchange experience can offer. Our hope is that our au pair program not only enriches the lives of our au pairs and host families, but also empowers them to share their experience with others, positively impacting lives in their local community and in communities around the world.

Tiape operates within the regulations defined by the U.S. Department of State. Tiape’s registered name with the U.S. Department of State is 20/20 Care Exchange, LLC (dba TIAPE).
